Near Tikal, about a 3 hour ride, arrive to Yaxha, the once home of the Survivor famous TV show released in 2012. Yaxha is from the pre-Columbian Maya period and it’s the third largest city in the region and rising in the Early Classic period (c. AD 250–600).

The name means "blue-green water" as it has a beautiful lagoon which can has a great view from one of the Pyramids –it’s a magical experience. The Yaxha kingdom covers an area of 237 square kilometers.

Even though Yaxha is a smaller site than Tikal, is a great place to visit, very peaceful, in the middle of the jungle, and with interesting data like the written leather book, Mayan scriptures that haven’t been decoded yet.
